Reading is an affluent suburban town located approximately 10 miles north of Boston in Middlesex County. Originally settled in the 1640s and incorporated in 1644, the town developed from an agricultural community into a prosperous residential suburb following the arrival of the railroad in the mid-1800s. Reading is known for its walkable downtown, strong sense of community, and numerous town events including its annual Fall Street Faire.
