Douglas is a small town in south-central Massachusetts, located along the Rhode Island border about 15 miles south of Worcester. Originally settled in the 1720s, the town developed around textile mills powered by the Mumford River and retains much of its historic rural character today. Douglas is known for its scenic landscapes, including portions of the Douglas State Forest, and its mix of working farms and residential neighborhoods.
