East Bridgewater is a suburban town in Plymouth County, located about 25 miles south of Boston between Brockton and the South Shore. The town was originally part of Old Bridgewater (known as "Scotland Parish") before incorporating separately in 1823, and it retains a New England small-town character with a compact downtown and residential neighborhoods. East Bridgewater is known for its cranberry bogs and agricultural heritage, as well as its community-oriented feel and access to both Route 495 and Route 24.
