Freetown-Lakeville is a regional district serving two small towns in southeastern Massachusetts, located in the Greater Taunton area about 15 miles north of Fall River. The region is characterized by rural landscapes, forests, and several large ponds, including Long Pond and Assawompset Pond, which is the largest natural freshwater body entirely within Massachusetts. Both Freetown and Lakeville maintain their historic New England town character while being within reasonable commuting distance of Providence and the South Coast.
