Agawam is a suburban town of about 28,000 residents located along the Connecticut River in western Massachusetts, directly across from Springfield. The town is best known as the home of Six Flags New England, one of the region's major amusement parks, and features a mix of residential neighborhoods and commercial development along its riverfront. Agawam's location provides easy access to Springfield's urban amenities while maintaining a more suburban character with its own downtown area and extensive park system.
