Easton is an affluent suburban town located approximately 25 miles south of Boston in southeastern Massachusetts. The town is known for its excellent recreational facilities, including the expansive Borderland State Park, and maintains a strong New England character with well-preserved historic homes and stone walls throughout its neighborhoods. Oliver Ames High School is named after Oliver Ames II, a 19th-century Massachusetts governor and industrialist whose family played a significant role in the town's development.
